Wittnauer Watch Co., Switzerland, "Futurama 1000", retrograde hours and minutes, 17 jewels, automatic winding, nickel plate movement with lever escapement in a gold filled case with stainless back and Arabic numeral sector dial with date, black and white painted stick hands, 34mm x 45mm, c1970, with original box and instruction sheet, Wittnauer strap and buckle.
CONDITION:
CASE: Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Minor scratches on crystal; Crown with brasing. DIAL: Specks of dirt / dust; Very good. HANDS: Very good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Specks of dirt / dust, gummy. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). COMPLICATION FUNCTION: Functions properly but gummy, needs service. A scarce watch with a style all its own - the retrograde function is usually found only in much more expensive watches.
